Corridors for Carnabys

Macadamia Tree Program — Expression of Interest

Your details

1. Do you have a sunny permanent location for the Macadamia tree within your property?

This cannot be a road verge due to the risk of traffic to Carnabys.

2. Are you able to leave leaf litter under the tree canopy?

This is where Carnabys will return to fossick, thereby making the macadamia trees a longer food supply over the year.

3. Will you be prepared to send pictures of your tree, complete questions on its health and growth, and report on its nut production via the website 3–4 times per year?

4. Will you be prepared to water during summer and fertilise in spring and summer according to the guidelines, and provide proof of this (photos or videos) if requested?

5. Will you engage with your neighbours, friends, and colleagues to educate them about the importance of these nut trees to Carnabys, and how they form part of a wider strategy to help these iconic birds?

6. What level of experience do you have growing fruit and/or nut trees to get regular, good quality produce?
